Sally Metcalfe
Education
Sally was born in Dallas and was raised in Arlington, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University, where she received her BBA in Finance in 1988. Following graduation, she moved to Houston and worked as a Treasury Analyst for Tenneco Gas. After two years with Tenneco, she began her legal studies at The University of Texas School of Law. She served as a Teaching Quizmaster and was elected a member of The Order of Barristers while in law school.
Experience
She began her legal career as a trial lawyer at the law firm Whitehurst, Harkness, Ozmun & Brees, P.C., in Austin, where she became a partner and worked for 15 years. She then became a founding partner of Austin personal injury firm, Evans Edwards, L.L.P.
Her work has included 28 years of extensive experience with cases involving product liability, insurance bad faith, construction defect, car wrecks and medical negligence. Her work has been a constant reminder that our lives can be completely devastated by the carelessness of others, and that you often have to fight for the justice that you deserve. Sally knows how difficult it can be to deal with a sudden tragedy, and enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of her clients.
Activities
Sally is active in volunteer work in Austin, having served on the board of the Texas Legal Services Center and currently serving on the board of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. She is an officer with the American Board of Trial Advocates, and serves on the Executive Committee for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, as well as the Capitol Area Trial Lawyers Association. She volunteers with Mobile Loaves and Fishes, Meals on Wheels, and other community organizations.
